Thanks to its Mediterranean weather, hot and dry during summers and temperate during winters, Apulia gives Nova Yardinia guests the chance to discover its wonderful territory all year long.

In 50 minutes by car it is possible to reach the splendid heart of Valle d’Itria area, visiting some wonderful historic centres of Martina Franca, Locorotondo, Ostuni and being amazed with the enchanting atmosphere of Alberobello whose “Trulli”, so unique buildings, have been declared UNESCO World Heritage. It is also possible to reach the nearby Basilicata region and Matera (other UNESCO World heritage) where the “Sassi” - “the ancient stones” - and over 120 rocky churches offer a sight very unique in the world, turned into a natural movie setting for many films, as for Mel Gibson’s movie “The Passion”. Likewise, within about 30 Km, it is possible to visit some important Greek-roman ruins in Taranto or Metaponto, pottery masters‘ workshops in Grottaglie, and “Le Cento Masserie” (one hundred ancient farmhouses) in Crispiano.
